VAIVA from A to Z – M

Theresa Ley,

We want to bring VAIVA closer. From our technologies to our work environment, we present the most important topics with VAIVA from A to Z.

M for Machine Learning

Our world is facing increasingly complex challenges that we are trying to solve with the help of the latest technologies. The use of AI is currently being proved in countless areas. This also applies to the automotive world.

Machine learning, for example, is a form of AI that is used as a data-driven technology to train algorithms to learn from large amounts of data. This can be used, for example, for traffic sign recognition, crash severity estimation, restraint systems or predicting the behavior of various road users. In the field of radar-based assistance systems, machine learning algorithms can also be used in conjunction with radar sensors to predict collision-free driving areas (drivable area detection) or for object detection.

This short list of examples alone shows the wide range of possible applications for machine learning. This is why we use this technology in numerous engineering projects to make them even more advanced and bring them up to the highest level of innovative solutions.

However, the use of machine learning always requires a certain amount of checking and plausibility testing. The learning process therefore consists of various training, validation and test phases. In combination with rule-based algorithms, safe driving functions can also be developed in the future.

Therefore it is crucial to continue building up knowledge of such a central technology. In any case, our AI team at VAIVA is doing everything in its power to impart in-depth knowledge, be it through the Machine Learning School as a knowledge platform, at our system demos or as a lecture in the “Talk, Meet, Eat”.

Machine Learning at VAIVA – an important component for high quality standards.

And M for Meetingfree

We’ve probably all been there: some working days make it almost impossible to focus on our tasks. We go from one meeting to the next or are interrupted because we are asked for advice. It’s certainly varied, but sometimes we need space for creativity, concentration and focus.

That’s why we created the meeting-free Wednesday. A day on which we don’t hold any internal meetings and can focus fully on our tasks. In combination with flexible working hours from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., working days with 5 out of 6 and the option to work remotely, we offer an appealing environment for every type of work that can be organized independently by team agreement.
