Transforming innovation into concrete, tangible solutions – Products at VAIVA
VAIVA has expanded its portfolio and now offers advisory services and products in addition to engineering. In a series of interviews, we want to present our three business areas in more detail and let our leading minds in the respective areas have their say.
Our series continues with the new area around our products. Building on our expertise in engineering, we are constantly developing the product range at VAIVA. Product Lead Kelly explains the path to our first product ICASIS and how all business areas at VAIVA are connected.
What does it mean for VAIVA to launch its own products on the market?
It’s an incredibly exciting time for us at VAIVA. Developing our own products and bringing them to market means that we are no longer just helping to shape the future of the automotive market – we are actively shaping it. We have developed enormously in recent years and can now convert our innovative strength into concrete, tangible solutions such as ICASIS and ISS, which are directly in use by our customers. This gives us the opportunity not only to respond to technological challenges, but also to turn our own ideas and visions into reality. Every product we develop represents the combined knowledge and passion of our team, and it fills me with pride to be part of this journey.
What prerequisites did VAIVA have to be able to take this step in the first place?
The decision to develop its own products was no coincidence. VAIVA has worked intensively in recent years to establish structures and processes that enable us to operate at the highest level. With our many years of experience in engineering and the resulting in-depth insights into the challenges of the industry, we had the perfect basis to take the step into product development. ASPICE-compliant processes, agile working methods and a team that is closely networked across all areas – all this provides the basis on which innovative product management can now be built smoothly. This step was not only a strategic decision for us, but a completely natural expression of our further development and growth. The next evolutionary stage.
A look into the future. What challenges will there be to overcome?
The future brings more complex requirements for technology and sustainability. But it will be just as crucial how we continue to optimize our innovation processes and continuously improve the user experience. For us, this means that we not only want to remain at the forefront of technology, but also always focus on the wishes and challenges of the end users. Intensive product discovery, UX/UI and a user-centered design approach play a key role here. At the same time, the question of efficiency and cost optimization remains in focus – our innovation management aims to enable rapid iterations and continuous improvements so that we can react flexibly to new trends and needs. The challenge will be to find the balance and make the best possible use of synergies.
How can VAIVA Products’ other business areas benefit? Or vice versa?
The synergies between our divisions are the key to success for our customers. Our in-depth experience in engineering and close cooperation with our customers in advisory work directly into product development. This means that our solutions are optimally tailored to the needs of the users. Conversely, our advisory and engineering projects benefit from our own products, as we can use them in a targeted manner to offer our users a holistic solution. In the end, our goal is always to create the greatest possible added value for our users, to help them achieve their goals and at the same time to drive innovations that make mobility safer.
Last but not least, a personal assessment. What does the portfolio expansion mean for VAIVA? Will it be even more exciting to work here? 😉 Absolute! The expansion of our portfolio not only brings new products, but also new opportunities to work completely freely and creatively. For me as a Product Lead, it is elementary to coach our teams so that we develop not only innovative, but also user-centered products. Our teams therefore work according to best practices in product and innovation management in order to always create the greatest possible added value for our users. After all, your own products are something different from a project. For me personally, this is very important: We are working on technologies that are not only innovative, but also socially relevant, and have their finger on the pulse of the times through constant contact with our users. That makes working here incredibly motivating. Of course, not everything is always easy. For me personally, however, it is a privilege to be part of a team that wants to make the world a better place with passion and creativity.
